Berlin Film Review: ‘The Young Karl Marx’ Raoul Peck's biopic about the philosopher-muse of Communism is a drama so old school that it tames the radicalism of its subject. Just as important, it swept away all the old hierarchies and mystifications. The Young Karl Marx sticks closely to the record, with some of the dialogue adapted from correspondence or memoirs and the casting director clearly working from portraits of the original figures.
